Winter Break Camp
Schedule: Monday, December 30, 9am-4pm

Theme: Intention

Ages: 5-9 (drop-off)

Location: Outer Sunset, SF (location provided with registration)

Fee: $100 (siblings are 20% off)

Description: Let's gather over Winter Break to celebrate the season! We'll explore light-and-dark, change, impermanence, beginner's mind, and intention-setting, all in connection with the turning of the season and the calendar year. We'll also discuss and practice kindness, compassion, tolerance, respect and inclusion, in the spirit of the season, and because these teachings are of increasing importance in our changing world. In addition to all the usual singing, dancing, mindfulness and merry-making, we'll open our hearts to the big world and all its inhabitants and create something special to share with others in our community.

NOTE: This camp is now full. To join the waiting list, email Charity with your child's name and birth date, and your phone number and email. We'll be in touch if a spot opens up. Thank you!

MLK Day Camp
Schedule: Monday, Jan 20, 9am-4pm

Theme: Beloved Community

Ages: 5-9 (drop-off)

Location: Outer Sunset, SF (location provided with registration)

Fee: $100 (siblings are 20% off)

Description: Martin Luther King, Jr., spoke eloquently of his profound vision for a "beloved community" -- a world grounded in non-violence, agape (kindness and goodwill), and a real and lasting love, respect and understanding for one another. On this day honoring his life and teachings, we will gather to create and celebrate our community, and practice song, dance and mindfulness that reinforce its value and importance. We will learn about loving speech and deep listening, and practice mindful conversations with the Sharing Stick. Expect a collaborative art project along these lines, plus lots of cherishing and appreciation of each other!
