"Grateful" appears on our Family Values album. It's is a song about noticing the blessings in our lives and calling them out. It is a wonderful singalong for children of all ages. I am extremely GRATEFUL to our children, Jasper, Jonathan, Silas and Sophia for adding their authentic and beautiful voices and instruments to the song, making it a true family affair. We hope you enjoy and sing along with YOUR family! And if you like this song, you'll probably like the whole album!

Videos + Dance Moves:

what makes you twinkle
what makes you shine
what makes you sing out
what makes you chime
what makes you celebrate
what makes you resonate
what makes you grateful
to be alive

is it the meadow
where the sun shines sweet
so that you can run in it
in your bare feet

is it the puddles that
the rain cries down
so that you can stomp in ‘em
all around the town

I’m grateful for the sun and the rain
(you try!)
I’m grateful for the sun and the rain
I’m grateful for the sun and the rain

is it your school
where you run and play
and grow up just a little bit
each and every day

is it your home
with its roof in the sky
and windows so you can
watch the world go by

I’m grateful for my school and my home
(you sing!)
I’m grateful for my school and my home
(all together!)
I’m grateful for my school and my home

is it your friend
who you love all the time
'cause you can hear the music
in each other's minds

is it your family
who holds you strong
and always makes a place for you
your whole life long

I’m grateful for my friends and family
(you sing!)
I’m grateful for my friends and family
I’m grateful for my friends and family
(that’s you all! here we go...)

“People usually consider walking on water or in thin air a miracle. But I think the real miracle is not to walk either on water or
in thin air, but to walk on earth. Every day we are engaged in a miracle which we don't even recognize: a blue sky, white clouds, green leaves, the black, curious eyes of a child -
our own two eyes.  All is a miracle.”
~ Thich Nhat Hanh

“It’s so clear that you have to cherish everyone.”
~ Alice Walker
