The Invisible Bee is thrilled to be returning to The Lost Church SF for another intimate evening of music and connection. This time, we're joined by old friends and fabulous musicians Jill and Steve Pierce ("Me and Steve") who will play an opening set to get the musical juices flowing. The Bee will follow with songs form our two 2019 albums, "Brokedown Palace" and "Incurable Love", plus a little meditation and engagement. We hope you'll join us for an evening of laughter, love, heart opening, truth telling and community building!
“The Invisible Bee” is creating a soundtrack for the Anthropocene. We are living in unprecedented times, faced with many forms of violence against humans, animals, and ecosystems. Our music speaks to the broken and the divine within us and within our world, channeling poetry, harmony and groove to open a portal to feel, face and respond to all of it. Bee music is apology, anger, truth, grief, hope, and call to action, all rolled into one -- song, salve, and spark for all who care for Mother Earth and her beings. Our wish is that this music touches the emotions inherent in these human experiences, wakes us up to the truth of our inter-being and kinship, and inspires us to act and serve from a place of love. http://www.invisiblebee.com
“Me and Steve” (Jill & Steve Pierce) have been playing music together for 30 of their 45 years on this planet, from high school onward. With their band JP*Orbit, they’ve played The Red Devil Lounge, The Last Day Saloon, The Great American Music Hall, & festivals like The Soup & High Sierra, sharing a stage with members of Hot Buttered Rum, New Monsoon, and ALO. They played in a kid's band called "Orange Sherbet”, sharing the stage with Charity & the JAMband and playing The Austin City Limits Festival. There's a love story in there too. http://www.adrianlibertini.com/jp-orbit
