CHARITY AND THE JAMBAND CONCERT: Come to the concert prepared for a happy, healthy, engaging, child-centric yet parent-friendly experience. These gatherings are a rocking celebration of coming together as one big family, united by song, dance and love! Charity and the JAMband are renowned for our funky and unforgettable grooves, singalong melodies, and lyrics that talk up to kids. And all of our songs have accompanying choreography, so the mosh pit is always grooving. Come join the JAM! MIKE DELLA PENNA MAGIC SHOW: He's silly, he's funny and he'll make you go WOW! Mike Della Penna creates wonder and laughter with family magic performances that are equal parts playful and astonishing.
WALKING TOURS OF GG PARK: Walking tours of Golden Gate Park led by San Francisco high school students, the winners of the 2020 Fracchia Prize, are now available as mobile apps. Download the walks for free and start exploring “Everyone’s Park,” with freshly minted historians as your guide. Choose from: “Botany and Horticulture: Symbols of Flourishing Against the Odds” by Winnie Quock, George Washington High School (1st Place Winner) and “Horticultural History: Learning About San Francisco’s Past Through the Garden Gems of the City’s Favorite Park” by Indigo Mudbhary, Lick-Wilmerding High School (2nd Place Winner) More info at sfhistory.org

"de Youngsters Day Out" @ the de Young: This free, in-person, all-day event includes hands-on art making activities, entertainment led by community partners, and workshops and presentations by local contemporary artists interpreting the permanent collection inside and outside the museum. Proceeds from the event will support the deYoung's Equity Schools Partnership Project." (The de Young event is free but tickets are required.) More info.
A NOTE ABOUT BANDSHELL EVENTS: San Francisco is home to one of the most diverse and culturally rich populations in the world. Saturday "Cultural and Community" shows will feature a wide pallet of performances spanning from Children's Music to Dance and Drum Showcases, String Ensembles to Big Bands. Developed originally as part of the Golden Gate Park 150th Anniversary Celebration, and produced by the San Francisco Parks Alliance, these events will showcase many wonderful and diverse music and performances. The events will happen between noon and 4 pm on select Saturdays. The Kids Festival is designed especially for children and families.
