In addition to traditional JAMclasses (now called JamboodaBees), I've added pre-K/K classes (JamboodaBats), singing classes for bigger kids (JamboodaBirds) and classes just for babies (JamboodaBugs). Note: The age groupings below are general guidelines. Please ask if you have questions about which Jambooda class is most appropriate for your child/family.

Make sure to check the schedule to ensure availability before you register.

Who: ages 0-1
          parent/child

What's on the menu:
JAM songs and dances adapted for babies, lullaby singing, parent/baby yoga, infant massage

Why it's important:
In their first months of life outside the womb, babies require so much touch, holding and carrying. Parents searching for ways to sooth, connect with and celebrate these amazing and often mystifying beings will find them here.

Special Notes:
If you have a group of six or more interested families and would like to create a class, let me know!
Who: ages 0-4
          parent/child

What's on the menu:
JAM songs and dances, creative movement, dramatic play, percussion jams, scarf dancing, yoga

Why it's important:
These little ones are really on the move, and need to jump, shake, shimmy, twirl, stomp, bang on things, laugh, and hug and be hugged in order for their brains and hearts to grow strong and wise. And everybody benefits when the grown-ups join in on the fun.

Special Notes:
If you have more than one child, in the 0-4 age range, this is the class foryou. The babies adore and learn so much from watching the big kids, and the big kids enjoy feeling competent, capable and strong. There's something for everyone!
Who: ages 4-5
          drop-off ok

What's on the menu:
JAM songs and dances, enriched and expanded, culminating in a dramatic-play performance

Why it's important:
These not-so-little ones still have a basic human need for all the same movement they did when they were toddlers, but are also starting to find their voices, improve their coordination, and hone their ability to focus. They need places to practice!

Special Notes:
Email me if you want to set up a special JamboodaBats class for your pre-K or Kindergarten class.
Who: K - 2nd grade
          drop-off ok

What's on the menu:
JAM songs, traditional songs, popular songs, and movement, culminating in a group concert

Why it's important:
"You can tell the health of a village by the singing of its children." (African proverb) So let's get 'em singing! The focus of this experience will be guiding the kids to sing with their own glorious voices and from their hearts, using simple-to-learn material.
