Our favorite place to play music for families in San Francisco is at the very end of Golden Gate Park, nestled between the forest and the ocean, at The Park Chalet. This fabulous open-air restaurant has been generously opening its lawn to us for FIVE summers now, enabling us to serve up handmade music and dance outside under the sunny (or foggy ;-) skies and on top of the grass and earth.
Our mission with the JAMband Family Festival is to provide a place for families to relax, connect and have fun together in the presence of wonderful all-ages music, delicious food and a beautiful outdoor environment.
The JAMband will play all six concerts, and we've invited some of our musical friends to join us at each show. And rather than have everyone come on the same day and overwhelm y'all, we've broken it up over six months, so we can all stretch out, slow down, follow through, and savor the moments a bit more.

In addition to co-producing the JAMband Family Festival, founder Charity Kahn runs a studio in San Francisco offering music, dance, drama and art classes and camps for hundreds of San Francisco's children each year.
